Live for an audience of One…….live for God
The world will applaud us if we conform to their patterns and behaviours, but as Christians, our lives are to be pleasing to God.
In the X factor or Britain’s got talent to America’s got talent auditions, it only matters what the judges think. It’s only the judges who can put the contestants through to the next round. They have the final decision.
In the same way, one day we will stand before the Great Judge. On that day, we will have to give an account of how we spent time, money, resources, how we used opportunities given to show love, compassion, to share God with others.
What we say on THAT day depends on how we live THIS day…WHO we live for this day and EVERYday.
On that day, it will just be you and God. Me and God.
Those people we try to please in the here and now, while on earth, won’t be there.
It’s a sobering thought….
‘Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out…’ Romans 12|2
I have to live a holy life, pleasing to God, Who will judge the world in the end. You have to live to please God Who will judge the world in the end.
But what does that mean?š§
Begin each day with God, live out each day with God and end each day in conversation with God. Desire spending time with Him, invest in the talents given to you and love those. These are just a few of the wonderful privileges we have as children of God…..š¤
Our focus: on God
Our desire: That He will say, ‘well done My good and faithful servant. Enter into My rest.’ Matthew 25|21
A pointer from Apostle Paul
‘Friends, don’t get me wrong. By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward-to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.’ Philippians 3|13 and 14
